Lifetime has just released the first footage of “The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story” — the TV movie which will focus on the alleged behind-the-scenes conflicts (and hookups) between cast members of the 90s hit series.
The film tapped a group of unknown actors to fill the roles of the main cast, and their transformation is on full display in this sneak peek, which takes place at a promo photo shoot.
It takes no time for tensions to escalate: Lark Voorhies (Taylor Russell McKenzie) and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen (Alyssa Lynch) compete for Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Dylan Everett)’s affections; Dustin Diamond (Sam Kindseth) tries to compete with Mario Lopez (Julian Works)’s fitness level; and Elizabeth Berkley (Tiera Skovbye) just tries to keep the peace in all the chaos.
“The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story” will air at 9 p.m. September 1.
