Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are officially dating. The news was confirmed Wednesday, Nov. 4 by the “No Doubt” singer’s reps in a statement issued to US Weekly.“Gwen and Blake are longtime friends who have very recently started dating”, says the statement. No further comments were made.
Speculations of a romance brewing emerged after the two singers were seen flirting on set of The Voice, where they currently reside as judges. Then, over the Halloween weekend, the twosome were photographed together at various parties only adding fuel to the fire.
The 39-year-old country singer divorced from Miranda Lambert in July after four years of marriage. The couple remained close after the separation and are both in attendance tonight at the CMA Awards in Nashville, Tennessee.
Meanwhile, Stefani, 46, also recently announced her divorce from her husband of 13 years, Gavin Rossdale. The couple had kept quiet about their separation until Gwen released the song “Used to Love You” about her relationship with the Bush frontman.
In recent days, during an interview with On Air With Ryan Seacrest, the singer kept mum about the status of her relationship with Shelton, but did share that she bonded with her co-star over similar divorce issues.
“To be super honest, it is kind of crazy that we both went through the same thing at the same time,” Stefani said. “There’s been so many people that I’ve gotten so much comfort from, just people coming to me and telling me their story about, like, ‘When I was a little…’ Not confiding but sharing, which has just helped me to see things from a different perspective and move forward.”
