Nickelodeon is opening up the vaults and bringing back an old hit in a magical new way. The network has released the first trailer for the film version of Legends of the Hidden Temple, inspired by their iconic ‘90s game show of the same name.
The follows three siblings who break away from a lackluster tour in a jungle, finding themselves immersed in a high-stakes adventure comprised of obstacles that they must complete in order to escape alive. The TV movie will feature many elements from the original game show
The TV movie will feature many elements from the original game show including, Olmec (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker), a talking head who greets cast members Noah (Colin Critchley), Sadie (Isabela Moner) and Dudley (Jet Jurgensmeyer), and launches them on the adventure of a lifetime; The Steps of Knowledge, the entrance to the temple and launching pad for the mission; and appearances from a green monkey, red jaguar, and silver snakes, among others.
Legends of the Hidden Temple is directed by Joe Menendez (From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series) and it also co-stars Daniel Cudmore (The Twilight Saga), Oscar Torre (The Hangover Part III), and Ioan Sebastian Tirlui (The Birth of Venus).
The TV movie is slated to debut on Nickelodeon in fall 2016.
