Así como la película original, el set de esta no se salvó de que cosas raras ocurrieran. Se ha dicho que mientras filmaban, las cámaras dejaron de funcionar en algún momento y salía el mensaje “Error 666”.
Semanas antes de que empezaran a grabar escenas para esta cinta, encontraron a un cuerpo muerto cerca del set y también se dice que varios actores del elenco empezaron a despertar a las 3:15 a.m. (la hora maldita) mientras grababan así como lo hacía el personaje de Ryan Reynolds luego de sentir que habían espíritus presente.
Jennifer Carpenter, protagonista de esta peli de terrór, ha contado que mientras grababa la película se prendía una radio que ella cargaba de repente y tocaba una canción de Pearl Jam que dice “I’m Still Alive”. MIEDO!!!
Todos quedamos aterrorizados luego de ver esta película de terror y es que se dice que si pones bien atención a las escenas, se pueden ver sombras en el video.

El set de esta cinta tiene que ser uno de los más embrujados ya que varios trabajadores de la producción sufrieron de “accidentes” muy tenebrosos. Al avión en el que viajaba el actor Gregory Peck le cayó un rayo y uno de los que se encargaba de los efectos especiales sufrió un accidente de auto muy similar a uno que ocurrió en “The Omen” donde el pasajero murió.
Cabe mencionar que a pocas semanas de la gran premiere de esta cinta, el hijo de Gregory Peck se suicidó.
Obviamente el set de una de las películas más miedosas en la historia también estaba embrujado y es que el set se incendió de repente mientras grababan y el director William Freidkin tuvo que traer varias veces a un sacerdote para que bendijera el set ya que los mismos actores tenían miedo.
Además hubieron varias muertes — entre cuatro y nueve, dependiendo de los reportes — durante la filmación. Entre ellos, el actor Jack MacGowran murió de complicaciones de influenza poco antes del estreno de la película. También hubieron heridos. La actriz que hace de la madre de la niña poseída, Ellen Burstyn, se lastimó la espina dorsal durante una de las escenas. Otros reportes dicen que un carpintero perdió sus dedos mientras trabajaba en el set.
Pero lo más raro ocurrió durante el estreno en Roma ya que cuando estaba a apunto de empezar la pelciula se cayó una cruz a las afueras del teatro.
Un año después de que saliera esta cinta en cines, los involucrados de la producción sufrieron de acontecimientos muy extraños e inoportunos.
Charles Manson y otros miembros de la producción asesinaron a la esposa del director Roman Polanski. El creador de la banda sonora para esta cinta, Krzysztof Komeda, sufrió un accidente donde murió. Y además el productor, William Castle, sufrió de problemas del riñón y antes de entrar al quirofano se dice que gritó “Rosemary, por el amor a Dios, tira el cuchillo”.
El cantante de 22 años murió la madrugada del 25 de febrero en un accidente automovilístico en Sinaloa. Reportes indican que el interprete de “El Karma” iba manejando en exceso de velocidad cuando perdió el control de su coche. Él y otras dos pasajeros perdieron la vida.
Integrante de la Banda El Recodo, Sarabia primero se reportó como desaparecido el 13 de octubre pero nueve días después fue encontrado muerto la madrugada del 22 de octubre cerca de Mazatlán, Sinaloa. La autora del asesinato fue su esposa Alma Chávez, quien junto a su amante, asesinó a Sarabia, así lo dieron a conocer las autoridades. Ambos han sido arrestados.

El intérprete de narcocorridos, mejor conocido como Tito, murió el 29 de mayo a los 33 años. El cantante fue asesinado a balazos mientras comía en un restaurante en Sonora, México.
