Christoph Waltz and Jimmy Kimmel Compete

Christoph Waltz has mad a career out of playing bad guys on the big screen including his work in Inglorious BasterdsBig EyesThe Green Hornet, Horrible Bosses 2Water for ElephantsDjango Unchained, and Spectre. So it’s no surprise that he is ready for a change. Waltz visited The Jimmy Kimmel show on Thursday night to discuss the new direction in his career that he is taking.

Comedian Jimmy Kimmel asks, “Do you ever wish you could play the good guy?” Waltz responds, “Yes, desperately. I kind of put my various talents forward occasionally but so far they don’t really see me.”

The duo decides to try out for the recently announced Sigfried and Roy biopic, but it wasn’t without conflict.

Waltz is currently promoting his latest film, The Legend of Tarzan co-starring Alexander SkarsgardMargot Robbie, and Samuel Jackson. The film, directed by David Yates, shows Tarzan after he’s acclimated to life in London and is called back to his home in the jungle. Waltz stars yet again as the villain, Leon Rom, known in real life as The Butcher of Congo.

The Legend of Tarzan opens in theaters on July 1.
