Ellen DeGeneres has launched a new digital dance series for kids. The talk-show host announced on Monday the launch of tWitch & Allison’s Dance Challenge, an eight-episode competition series.
The show will feature six contestants between ages 10 and 14, who will face-off against each other for the chance to perform live on the Ellen DeGeneres Show in May. Contestants will be challenged in a variety of dance styles, including contemporary, hip-hop, and pop animation.
Choreographer and Ellen DJ Stephen “tWitch” Boss (So You Think You Can Dance) and his wife, Allison Holker (Dancing With the Stars), will judge and host the series. The two will also mentor the contestants and offer them the opportunity to work with Emmy-winning choreographer Travis Wall.
The first three episodes will air on Ellen in April and all eight will be available exclusively on Ellentube.
