Kanye West made a lot of people upset when using their likeness in his new music video, “Famous”. The controversial scene shows duplicates of naked celebrities in bed, including Anna Wintour, Donald Trump, George W. Bush, Taylor Swift, Amber Rose, Ray J, Caitlyn Jenner, Rihanna, Chris Brown, and Bill Cosby, with West and his wife, Kim Kardashian, at the center.
But it is The Late Show host Stephen Colbert who is angriest of all with West because he didn’t make the cut. Colbert spoke openly to viewers on Monday night about his disdain over not being included, warning the mogul that he plans to sue!
“Well, you don’t have to wait Kanye because I’m going to sue you right now,” Colbert said. “For cutting me out of that video! Luckily I kept the footage of my take…”
The video for The Life of Pablo track can currently be seen exclusively on Tidal. It also made its broadcast debut Monday on E!, home of all things Kardashian.
“It’s not in support or anti any of [the people in the video]. It’s a comment on fame,” West told Vanity Fair about the art visual inspired by Vincent Desiderio‘s painting Sleep. “Additionally, despite what some may think, the nudity nor the bedded setting are allusions to sexual behavior. We were very careful with shots that had [something] sexual to take them out.”
