Netflix released a new teaser for the second season of Daredevil where fans get an inside peek to what’s in store for Season 2. In the 15 second clip we see Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) in a dark alley turning when he hears a gunshot.
The captivating teaser is also accompanied by the text, “Friendship Will Be Tested,” making it seem like Foggy’s relationship with Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) will once again encounter conflict. In the first season we saw the ups and downs of their friendship and the struggles Foggy had as the superhero’s identity was revealed. Nelson slowly started questioning their relationship but at the end of Season 1 it seemed as if their issues were a thing of the past.
Season 2 will bring an air of change once Punisher (Jon Bernthal) arrives and adds more violence to the mix making Matt rethink his morals. In an interview with MTV, Rosario Dawson, who will reprise her role as Claire Temple, stated that she’s interested in how Daredevil’s actions will change once Punisher is around. “That’s going to raise the stakes so much more, because Matt Murdock almost behaves like the Punisher in the first season. [Matt] crosses the line quite often, so it’s going to be really interesting to see how they differentiate them and where that goes.”
According to Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb, who previously stated in the Punisher casting news, the main dynamic that will change will be the focus on their different crime fighting methods.
The complete second season of Daredevil will be released on March 18 on Netflix.
