Supergroup Temple of the Dog are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their self-titled album by hitting the road for a mini-U.S. tour. The band consists of Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, Stone Gossard, Jeffrey Ament, Matt Cameron and Michael McCready, and Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell.
Although members of the group have performed songs from the album in the past, they have never performed together as part of a tour. The quintet will make stops in five lucky U.S. cities including Philadelphia, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Seattle.
“We wanted to do the one thing we never got to do … play shows and see what it feels like to be the band that we walked away from 25 years ago,” Cornell said in a statement. “This is something no one has ever seen. We wanted to stop and recognize that we did this and pay homage.”
There will also be a special 25th Anniversary reissue of the LP set to be released on September 30. Tickets go on sale on July 29.
Tour dates are as follows:
November 4 – Philadelphia, PA @ Tower Theater
November 7 – New York, NY @ Madison Square Garden
November 11 – San Francisco, CA @Bill Graham Civic Center
November 14 – Los Angeles, CA @ The Forum
November 20 – Seattle, WA @ Paramount Theater
