Dwayne Johnson protagonizará la versión cinematográfica de ‘Doc Savage’

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson es una de las estrellas más ocupadas de Hollywood. Este lunes 30 de mayo, Sony Pictures anunció que el actor estaría protagonizando la adaptación cinematográfica de Doc Savage.

Shane Black, director de The Nice Guys y Iron Man 3, estará encargado de este nuevo proyecto, que trata de uno de los personajes más clásicos de la literatura pulp estadounidense.

Johnson fue el encargado de anunciar la noticia a través de su cuenta oficial de Instagram. “Es oficial: Para todos los fans del cómic, ya saben que el primer superhéroe (que data antes de Superman) del mundo es el “hombre de bronce”, Clark “Doc” Savage”, escribió el protagonista de la nueva versión de Baywatch.

“Doc fue física y mentalmente capacitado desde el nacimiento por su padre y un equipo de científicos para convertirse en el espécimen humanos perfecto, con un intelecto de genio. Sus sentidos intensificados estaban más allá de la comprensión. Incluso podía identificar el perfume de una mujer a media milla de distancia. Él es, literalmente, el maestro de todo. Pero esta es la razón #1 de mi felicidad por interpretar a Doc Savage… ES UN BICHO RARO HILARANTE”, agregó “The Rock”.

El actor también anunció que estará ligado a la producción de esta nueva cinta a través de su compañía Seven Bucks Productions, junto a Hiram García y Neal H. Moritz.

Próximamente podremos ver a Johnson en el reboot de Baywatch, así como en la comedia Central Intelligence, cinta que llegará a los cines el 17 de junio.
