Banksy Uses Steve Job Support Syrian

World famous graffiti artist Banky is starting a new conversation and supporting Syrian refugees with his latest creation, a portrait of Steve Jobs at a migrant camp in Calais, France known as “The Jungle”.

The artwork depicts the successful Apple co-founder in his trademark attire, a black turtleneck and blue jeans, with a sack over his shoulder and a vintage computer in the other hand.

“We’re often led to believe migration is a drain on the country’s resources, but Steve Jobs was the son of a Syrian migrant,” Banksy said in a statement. “Apple is the world’s most profitable company, it pays over $7 billion a year in taxes, and it only exists because they allowed in a young man from Homs.”

Jobs biological father, Abdul Fattah Jandali was raised in Syria. He was an activist and left his native land for Lebanon where he studied at the American University of Beirut. He migrated to the U.S. after protests forced him to flee the city. He met Jobs biological mother, Joanne Carol Schieble, while in Wisconsin and left her before he was born and put up for adoption. He was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs.

In the past weeks, since the terrorist attacks in Paris, Syrian refugees and the opposition to allowing them into the country has been a popular topic of debate. According to CNN, 31 governors are opposing entry into their states.
