Actress Adriana Campos and her husband Carlos Rincón died in a car accident on Tuesday, November 3 in Colombia.
According to police reports, Rincón was driving south west on La Mansa-Primavera Avenue in Colombia’s Department of Antioquia when he lost control of his vehicle and fell into the Cauca River. Campos and Rincón were not able to get out of the car and drowned. Both bodies were taken to Salgar, Antioquia. The telenovela veteran and her husband leave behind their one year-old son.
“Immediately following the accident, traffic units were sent to the crash site in coordination with the city’s firefighters,” said Juan Gómez, a Highway Patrol Commander for the City of Antioquia, during a press conference. “We proceeded to remove the bodies and transport them to Salgar Hospital’s morgue to perform all formalities.”
Campos, who was 36 years-old at the time of her death, was a two-time Premios TV y Novelas nominee. She was first nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Vecinos and received a second nomination for Best Antagonist for her work in Bella Calamidades.
