Things got heated between Nancy Grace and 2 Chainz when he was a guest on her HLN show, “Nancy Grace” on Tuesday, Jan. 13.

The legal commentator and the rapper exchanged various words during a debate over the legalization of marijuana.

The rapper who is a pro-pot advocate and the conservative host who is against all pot activities went at it with Grace bringing up an incident where a viral video showed a 2 year-old with pot paraphernalia filmed by her mother who has since been sentenced to two years of probation because of the incident.

Stating this as her main reason to deny the legalization, Grace advocated people to, “Think of the children… Why do you advocate legalization of pot when you hear stories like what I’m talking about?”

“I have two beautiful little girls and I’m a great father. I just feel like, basically, everybody should take care of their own,” replied 2 Chainz. “Anybody that loves their kid definitely knows not to put them in harm’s way…I don’t agree with that at all. (The mother) might have mental issues. It may be something deeper than a joint.”

The stern host repeatedly interrupted him to chime in on her “explanations” that more or less sounded like an assumption of all who smoke marijuana.

“If this is legalized, then everybody is going to have unlimited access to pot and unlike other who are responsible, irresponsible child abusers are going to have free access,” Grace stated.

“Um, I’m not sure if you know but everybody has the ability to get their hands on pot right now, whether it’s legal or not,” 2 Chainz replied back. “I just feel if you legalize this particular drug, it could cut out certain things in the criminal justice system as far as the overcrowding of prisons, as far as putting this on our criminal record to prevent us from getting loans, to prevent us from getting homes…I figure if we got half of the states legalizing pot, if the rest of the community legalizes pot, that frees up taxpayers’ money.”

Regardless on one’s stance on the matter is was an interesting debate between a woman who is very set in her ways and a very liberal artist who has no shame in talking and rapping about his drug –using ways in songs.
