What if your food had feelings and was able to feel? Imagine finding out that your food not only talks but they have lives and they want you to stop eating them! This is the premise for the new adult animated film Sausage Party, in theaters August 12.
The R-rated tale is about a sausage named Frank (voiced by Seth Rogen) whose leading a group of supermarket products on a quest to discover the truth about their existence and what really happens when they become chosen to leave the grocery store.
What will happen to these food items? Will they be destined to be dinner or can they find a way to beat their fate and live happily ever after?
The film also features the vocal talents of a who’s who of today’s comedy stars including Kristen Wiig as Brenda a hot dog bun and Frank’s love interest, Jonah Hill as Carl a fellow sausage, Bill Hader as El Guaco a Guacamole, Michael Cera as Barry also a sausage, James Franco as a piece of nameless toast, Danny McBride as Honey Mustard, Craig Robinson as Mr. Grits, Paul Rudd as a tomato named Nicky Da Vinci, Nick Kroll as Douche, David Krumholtz a lavash named Vash, Edward Norton as a bagel named Sammy Bagel, Jr., and Salma Hayek as a taco named Teresa.
