Ricky Martin took home the award for best Latin pop album for his A quien quiera escuchar at this year’s 58th Annual Grammy Awards. This is Martin’s second Grammy after winning in 1998 for best Latin pop performance for his ballad Vuelve.
“Yes! Today we won the Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album,” the Puerto Rican singer wrote on Twitter. “So thankful for everyone involved @thegrammys.”
Other Latin winners include Natalia Lafourcade and Pitbull, who tied in the best Latin rock, urban or alternative album Category.
Lafourcade won for Hasta la Raíz, an album that has been highly successful in Mexico. Pitbull won for his album Dale, his first Spanish language project in years.
Ruben Blades received his eighth Grammy in the best tropical music category for Son de Panama, along with Roberto Delgado & Orchestra. Los Tigres del Norte took home their seventh award for best Mexican regional music album for Realidades.
