Tidal confirmed it will be streaming an impromptu show featuring rappers Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz for free. The concert will air live on Wednesday, March 30.
The Tidal X: Collegrove concert and livestream starts at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT from The Tabernacle in Atlanta, Ga. Fans can watch the show by visiting tidal.com/collegrove.
Collegrove is Chainz’s latest album and features Lil Wayne on eight of the 13 tracks. The LP was released earlier this month.
The subscription music streaming service, created by Jay-Z, has also livestreamed other concerts, including an All-star concert with performances by Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Usher and Nick Jonas last October at New York City’s Barclay’s Center.
Lil Wayne is a co-owner of Tidal, the rapper helped launch the music service last year alongside Alicia Keys, Arcade Fire’s Win Butler, Régine Chassagne, Beyoncé, Daft Punk, Jack White, Jason Aldean, J. Cole, Jay Z, Kanye West, Deadmau5, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Usher, Calvin Harris and Coldplay’s Chris Martin.
Tidal recently reported it surpassed 3 million subscribers, trailing behind Spotify’s 30 million and Apple Music’s 11 million.
