There’s a new boss in town and he sure doesn’t mind ruffling feathers! Eddie Cibrian is joining the cast of Rosewood for season two and Fox has a special clip to share with Variety Latino readers. Cibrian, who is playing the role of Captain Slade, is promised to add a new mix to the existing dynamic between Detective Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz) and Rosewood (Morris Chestnut).
Ortiz spoke to Variety Latino at the Imagen Awards about the addition of Cibrian and what else you can expect from season two.
“Did you know Eddie Cibrian is on the show this season,” Ortiz asked Variety Latino. “He’s playing the new captain and he’ll have a love interest though I can’t tell you who that is. I can tell you it’s going to be sexier, it’s going to be edgier. It’s going to feel like you are being kissed by the Miami sun every Thursday night. What we’re doing cinematically and artistically is completely different than season one. We have a lot more drama with everyone’s relationships. Obviously, we’re solving crimes in Miami and the new characters are going to be interesting.

Cibrian is not the only pretty face added to the roster for season two.
Adding, “We also got Eric Winter, Roselyn Sanchez‘s husband coming on for season two. He plays the new medical examiner Adrian. He actually is a new love interest.”
Don’t miss one steamy moment of season two of Rosewood premiering Thursday, September 22 at 8pm only on Fox.
