Bryan Cranston visited Today to promote his latest film The Infiltrator when he decided to show off a hidden talent— celebrity imitations! The Emmy Award winner confessed to interviewer Carson Daly that he wants to play the presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump “at some point.”
“He’s huge,” Cranston said. “He’s this Shakespearean character, this serio-tragic-comedic character. Who wouldn’t want to take a bite out of that?”
Cranston then pouted his lips just like Trump and said, “‘It’s huge. Let me tell you something, this is what I can tell you: It is huuuge!’”
The Breaking Bad alum went on to imitate comedian Jerry Seinfeld as well. Cranston guest-starred on Seinfeld as Elaine’s ex-boyfriend and “Dentist to the Stars” Tim Whatley in five episodes. He said in the clip, “‘I’m offended as a comedian!’”
Cranston has played presidents in the past, so playing The Trump might not be completely out of left field. He portrayed President Lyndon B. Johnson on Broadway and then on HBO’s All the Way.
You can catch Cranston and co-stars Benjamin Bratt and John Leguizamo in The Infiltrator when it hits theaters on Wednesday, July 13.
