Cody Rhodes might have left the WWE in May, but he isn’t done being in the spotlight. Rhodes, who used to go by the stage name of Stardust, will be making a visit to the CW Network show, Arrow in a yet undisclosed role alongside Stephen Amell. Rhodes and Amell battled it out in the ring during 2015’s Summerslam with longtime wrestling fan Amell claiming the victory.
Amell made the casting announcement during one of his popular Facebook Live chats while in New Jersey for the Heroes & Villains Fanfest.
“Before we get going, we have an announcement,” Amell said. “We have a new guest star on Arrow this year: Mr. Cody Rhodes. I’m so fired up for this guy; he and I haven’t really had much of a chance to talk about it but we’ve been friends for a little over a year now. I know that Cody has really wanted to get into the acting business. He went to LA, he read for a part, and his deal closed yesterday and the dude is going to be on Arrow and I’m so fired up.”
An excited Amell also went to Twitter to make sure everyone heard the news.
“Guest starring on #Arrow this fall… Mr. @CodyRhodes”
No word yet as to what episode he will be on nor which episode he will appear in. Season five of Arrow returns on October 5.
