New images from the El Rey Network series, From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series season three were just released and it looks like audiences should prepare themselves for an even wilder ride than before. The intensity in the images is obvious but what else can you expect from director Robert Rodriguez?

“Santanico Pandemonium (Eiza Gonzalez), once imprisoned inside the temple under the Titty Twister, has found a new life for herself in the outside world,” Rodriguez said. “She’s actually happy! All that gets shattered when the Geckos show up to recruit her into the fight!”

Even though Santanico has been a major focal point, the real stars are the Gecko Brothers, played by D.J. Cotrona and Zane Holtz. What new adventures will they be involved in this season?

Dusk has always been a Gecko Brothers story, and Seth (Cotrona) and Richie (Holtz) are definitely back,” Rodriguez teased. “When Season 3 opens, they’re working for the culebra crime bosses – but when that world gets blown up, the boys start putting together a crew to take on a dark new threat.”

The famed director promises that audiences will see a season like any before it. It will have all of the elements that Rodriguez is famous for and more.

“Just like the third act of the film, we’re blowing the lid off the Dusk universe in Season 3, but we’re also continuing to mash-up horror and action and Mesoamerican myth,” he explained. “That means new demons, new monsters – and crazy new threats”

There are a lot of new and old faces you’ll recognize as the season progresses. You’ll see appearances from Ana de la Reguera (Narcos), Marko Zaror (Machete Kills), Tom Savini (Friday the 13th), Emily Rios (Breaking Bad), Bernardo Saracino (Sicario), and Madison Davenport (Sisters). But will Wilmer Valderrama’s Carlos Madrigal be back? His social media accounts say “yes” but you never know!

“As Season 3 unfolds, Kate Fuller (Davenport) – once a Bible-thumping teenager from small-town Texas – finds herself transformed by something dark and powerful,” Rodriguez said. “She’s not the sweet girl we met in Season 1.”

Even with all the supernatural powers at hand, sometimes you have to take things into your hands and battle it out in the ring. Cotrona looks ready for combat in another new photo for the season.

“Season 3 amps up the action in our world,” Rodriguez explained. “It wouldn’t be Dusk without a good, gory scare – or a good ol’ fashioned brawl”

You can catch up on the first two seasons via Netflix ahead of the show premiere this fall.
