James Corden welcomed Sia for another edition of “Carpool Karaoke” on The Late Late Show Tuesday night. Donning her black-and-white wig topped with a black bow, Sia kicked things off with a lively rendition of her hit single “Chandelier.”
Before proceeding to the next song, Corden candidly asked the Australian singer the reason behind her big wigs.
“I don’t wear this unless there’s cameras around,” she said. “I only wear this just to try and maintain a modicum of privacy.”
Sia then opened up about her past addictions.
“I was a singer for 10 or 11 years to mediocre success,” she added. “I was an alcoholic and a drug addict. I sobered up, and I decided I didn’t want to be an artist anymore , because I was starting to get a little bit famous and it was destabilizing in some way. I thought, ‘What doesn’t exist in pop music at the moment?’ And it was mystery. I was like, there’s pictures on Instagram of everyone at the dentist.”
Corden later sported a Sia inspired wig before singing “Alien.” Other songs part of the playlist included “Diamonds,” “Elastic Heart,” “Alive” and “Titanium.”
