Louis C.K. is keeping pretty busy these days, except giving fans more of the popular FX series, Louis. But that’s okay because he is coming back to the network (behind-the-scenes) with the series he co-created with Pamela Adlon, Better Things. The first teaser trailer was released on Tuesday showing Adlon at a coffee shop recreating that popular shame bell meme from the 2016 season finale of Game of Thrones.
Even though the cashier looks like she wants to fling the register at her, Adlon can’t seem to stop herself.
In the semi-autobiographical show, Adlon plays “Sam,” a working actor and single mom with no filter trying to earn a living, navigate her daughters’ lives, have fun with a friend or two, and also – just maybe – squeeze in some private time once in a while, the video description says. Her life is funny to watch, but you wouldn’t want to live it (except sometimes).
“That woman doesn’t exist on TV that I’ve seen,” C.K. said about Better Things according to Deadline. “Pamela really shaped the show and directed the best episodes.”
Better Things, which will consist of ten episodes, premieres on September 8 on FX.
