Hollywood is starting its baby boom early this year!
Vanessa Lachey, 34, welcomed her second child, a baby girl, with husband Nick Lachey, 41, on Monday, Jan. 5.
The new mom shared the news on her blog Tuesday morning, saying, “She’s here! Nick, Camden and I are so excited to announce that birth of our sweet, beautiful baby girl, Brooklyn Elisabeth Lachey!”
The newest addition to the Lachey clan arrived Monday afternoon at 5:17 p.m., weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces and is 21 inches long.

“I have been dreaming of this moment for as long as I can remember, the day I was going to meet my little girl. A friend recently told me how magical today was going to be because it’s the day I would meet my best friend,” wrote Vanessa in her blog. “I can’t even begin to tell you how it felt to hold her in my arms for the very first time. Mommy, Daddy and big brother Cam love you so much already, Brooklyn! Thank you to everyone for your love and support, it means so much to our family.”
Their sweet baby girl joins big brother Camden John who recently turned two years old.
Vanessa and Nick had been busy preparing the birth of their second child since new broke out in July that they were expecting a baby girl and even prepped Camden on the arrival of his sister.
“We’ve definitely gone over the fact that, ‘Hey, baby sister is in mommy’s belly,’ and he’ll kiss the belly, so I think he understands what baby sister means and that that’s happening,” the 98 Degrees singer told E! News. “But I think the truth test is when she arrives and all the attention’s not just on him! We’ll see how he reacts at that point!”
