John Legend and Common have been confirmed to perform at the 87th Annual Academy Awards on Feb. 22.
The duo is nominated in the category Best Original Song for “Glory” from the Martin Luther King inspired film “Selma.”
This is the first time that both Common and Legend have been nominated for an Oscar and they are beyond thrilled to get the chance of a lifetime and perform their hit on stage.
The pair already took home the Golden Globe and the Critics Choice Award for “Glory” and hope for the best Oscar Sunday.

The 87th Annual Academy Awards are just around the corner and as the show gets even closer more names and news about the 2015 Oscars will start being announced.
One of the first announcements comes from Maroon 5 lead singer and “The Voice” coach, Adam Levine, who revealed Monday, Jan. 26 that he is set to perform at the Oscar Awards.
The rocker will be singing “Lost Stars” from the film “Begin Again,” which is nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Original Song category.
Unfortunately Levine isn’t eligible to win the statute being that the song was written by Gregg Alexander and Danielle Brisebois but it is still a great honor to perform at the prestigious ceremony.
“Lost Stars,” also performed by Keira Knightley in the movie, is up against “Glory” by John Legend and Common from “Selma” and “Grateful” performed by Rita Ora from the motion picture “Beyond the Lights.”
Rumors have circulated that both will be selected to perform that same night. “Everything Is Awesome” from “The Lego Movie” and “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” from the documentary “Glen Campbell..I’ll Be Me” are also nominated.
