A Batmobile featured in Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman is currently up for sale for $1 million by a Moscow-based car sales company. If purchased, it will become the first Batmobile to be ever sold in Russia.
“We have been looking for Batmobiles around the world, but we have received several rejections without explanation,” Auto.ru, the car sales company, said in a statement. “Their owners and fans don’t normally want to part with them for any money.”
The car, said to be in good condition, is currently in Great Britain while customs is being worked. It previously changed hands several years ago at the Houston Classic Auction.
According to Auto.ru, a Batmobile has never been owned by anyone in Russia before or even put on exhibit.
