Universal released a third trailer for The Huntsman: Winter’s War. Directed by Cedric Nicholas-Troyan, the big-budget fantasy sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman opens April 22.
The film focuses on the origin story of huntsman Eric (Chris Hemsworth), who was part of a training camp led by Freya (Emily Blunt), Queen Ravenna’s (Charlize Theron) sister. Eric and a fellow combat warrior Sara (Jessica Chastain) become two of Freya’s prime fighters, but everything changes when the two fall in love and are subsequently banished.
Years later, Ravenna is defeated by other evil forces. Freya then attempts to take back the Magic Mirror, to harvest its evil power. But, the mirror ends up resurrecting Ravenna, resulting in massive chaos. Freya calls on Eric and Sara to help restore order from her sisters wicked rule.
