David Hasselhoff will join Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron in the new Baywatch movie. The news was confirmed Wednesday night by Johnson.

The San Andreas star posted a video on his Facebook to make the announcement. “I don’t know if the world is ready for both of us,” said Johnson to Hasselhoff via FaceTime. “I was born ready!” Hasselhoff responded.

“Pleasure to officially welcome the original #BAYWATCH gangsta himself David Hasselhoff to our movie!,” Johnson wrote on Facebook. “#BAYWATCH is the most successful TV show of all time and from the day we announced we were turning it into a movie, ‘The Hoff; has been our greatest supporter.”

Hasselhoff starred in the original Baywatch series and also produced the show from 1991 to 2001. Details about the actor’s role have not yet been released. The cast includes Johnson, Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Priyanka Chopra, Kelly Rohrbach and Hannibal Buress.

Seth Gordon will direct with Beau Flynn and Ivan Reitman producing. The story follows two lifeguards who must join forces to save the beach from an environmental disaster.

Baywatch hits theaters May 19, 2017.
