Harley Quinn is so tough she can kick bad guy butt and read texts messages at the same time! In this new Suicide Squad trailer, Quinn (played by Margot Robbie) and her bad ass moves are featured as well as the moment she’s asked to join Suicide Squad.
The film tells the story of a group of imprisoned supervillains who are recruited by a secret government agency to execute dangerous black ops missions in exchange for clemency. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?
“Complete the mission you get time off your sentence,” U.S. Intelligence Officer Amanda Waller (played by Viola Davis) tells Quinn in the trailer. “You fail the mission, you die.”
Quinn replies, “She seems nice.”
The big screen adaptation of the comic book was directed and written by David Ayer (End of Watch) and also co-stars Jared Leto as The Joker, Will Smith as Deadshot, Ben Affleck as Batman, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, and Joe Kinnaman as Rick Flag.
The film is rated PG-13 for sequences of violence and action throughout, disturbing behavior, suggestive content, and language.
Suicide Squad opens in theaters on August 5.
