The real life story of professional boxer Roberto Duran is hitting the big screen this summer in the Weinstein Company production, Hands of Stone. In the new trailer released on Wednesday, you’ll see Edgar Ramirez transform into Duran with Robert De Niro by his side in the role of his trainer Jay Arcel.

Here’s the official description of the film:

Hands of Stone follows the life of Roberto Duran (Ramirez), the Panamanian fighter who made his professional debut in 1968 as a 16-year-old and retired in 2002 at the age of 50. In June 1980, he defeated Sugar Ray Leonard (Usher Raymond) to capture the WBC welterweight title, but shocked the boxing world by returning to his corner in their November rematch, famously saying the words “no mas” (no more.)

“It was a dream come true, director Jonathan Jakubowicz told Remezcla. “We are all filmmakers because of the movies De Niro made with Scorsese and Coppola. To have him be part of my creative team was beyond any ambition. He worked on the script with me for half a year and was completely involved in the whole process. We shot the movie with a Latino crew and every time he walked on set felt like a blessing for all of us. His dynamic with Édgar is the stuff of legend.”

Hands of Stone is set to hit theaters August 26.
