DMX Found Unconscious in Hotel Parking

DMX was found unconscious in the parking lot of a Ramada Inn in Yonkers, New York on Monday, February 8. The 45-year-old rapper was not breathing and did not have a pulse, according to TMZ.

The Yonkers police department responded to the call after 6 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found the rapper on the floor next to a car, he appeared lifeless as a medic administered CPR. DMX regained consciousness a minute later and was taken to a nearby hospital.

The musician is now in stable condition and is currently resting at the hospital where he was treated. Authorities continue to investigating the incident.

The singer, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was last time seen performing at a nightclub on January 31 in New York City. In July, DMX was sentenced to six months in jail for failing to pay $400,000 worth of child support. The father of 12 children was eventually released two months later, and arrested again in December after he missed a court hearing.

DMX rose to fame in the late ‘90s when he released Get At Me Dog. The single was certified Gold by the RIAA. His first major-label album, It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot was released in May 1998. The LP debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart in the U.S. and sold over five million copies.
