Jimmy Kimmel once again gathered some of Hollywood’s biggest stars to read a collection of “mean tweets” that people have written about them for Thursday’s movie edition show.
Participants included Christoph Waltz, Patricia Arquette, George Clooney, Jessica Chastain, Eddie Redmayne, Susan Sarandon, Kevin Costner, Emily Blunt, Zach Galifianakis, Kevin Hart, Richard Dreyfuss, Cate Blanchett, Seth Rogen, Oscar Isaac, Taraji P. Henson and Sean Penn.
Arquette was one of the first celebs to kick things off. Her tweet read, “I’m getting f–ked up tonight. I mean Patricia Arquette’s teeth f–ked up.” The Boyhood actress was followed by Clooney, whose mean tweet said, “If that gross ratty old man George Clooney can find a girl…you regular fellas out there in the twitterverse must be drowning in p&^%%^.
Other stars couldn’t help but laugh things off. Redmayne could barely keep a straight face while reading the following: “Eddie Redmayne looks like someone tried to erase his nose, but couldn’t completely. I also think he looks perpetually dehydrated,” to which he replied, “I am! I’m really thirsty.”
Galifianakis also laughed off his mean tweet: “I hate when Zach Galifianakis plays serious roles, that’s what Dakota fanning is for.” And Chastain didn’t mind one bit being referred to as “Julia Roberts’ ghost.”
Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs weeknights at 11:35pm on ABC.
