Media mogul Rupert Murdoch has married former model Jerry Hall in a civil ceremony at Spencer House in London.
This is Murdoch’s fourth marriage and the first legal marriage for Hall, whose 1992 wedding to Mick Jagger was deemed legally void.
The newlyweds will hold a private ceremony on Saturday at London’s St. Bride’s Church, according to BBC.
Murdoch tweeted on Friday he feels “like the luckiest and happiest man in [the] world”.
The couple announced their engagement in January on the births, deaths and marriages section of London’s The Times.
The notice read: “Mr Rupert Murdoch, father of Prudence, Elisabeth, Lachlan, James, Grace and Chloe Murdoch, and Miss Jerry Hall, mother of Elizabeth, James, Georgia and Gabriel Jagger, are delighted to announce their engagement.”
In 2015, Forbes reported that Murdoch and his family have a net worth of $11.2 billion making him the 77th richest person on the planet. Murdoch owns Fox News Channel, Twenty-First Century Fox, book publisher HarperCollins and newspapers in Britain and the United States.
