The deeper viewers are getting into the world of The Exorcist, the scarier things are getting. Variety Latino has an exclusive clip ahead of episode 5 entitled, “Chapter Five: Through My Most Grievous Fault” to share. In the clip, we see a possessed Casey Rance (Hannah Kasulka), whose demon is taunting Father Tomas (Alfonso Herrera) as he tries to convince himself that what he is hearing is possible. You see, the demon knows he will hurt him the most by speaking as if he was Tomas’s beloved grandmother.
“My son, why are you doing this? Look at me son, I never wanted this for you,” Rance’s demon says in the trailer to Father Tomas in Spanish. “You only live one life, go live it.” A startled Father Tomas responds, “This can’t be true. This isn’t true, shut up!” The demon replies, “Why do you torture yourself?”
Throughout the scene, Father Marcus (Ben Daniels) is trying to get his colleague to snap out of it. He says, “Don’t look at it. Don’t let it in your head.” As Tomas grows frustrated of hearing a voice that sounds like his departed grandmother, he prays and splashes holy water on the poor teenage girl caught in the middle of it all.
