Watch out America, because there’s a new sheriff in town! VH-1 released a teaser promo for the all new America’s Next Top Model featuring new host Rita Ora. Also in the teaser is supermodel Ashley Graham who will serve as a judge on the revamped show. Tyra Banks is onboard as an executive producer, though it is unclear if she plans to make any special appearances throughout the season.
Rounding out the panel of judges are stylist Law Roach and Paper magazine creative director Drew Elliot. ANTM was brought back to life by VH-1 after it was cancelled by The CW after twenty-two cycles.
The promo is black, white, and pink and shows models working it on the runway to the tune “Fashion Killa (Papapapa)” by Mason and Stefflon Don. One thing the video makes clear is that they’ve taken everything that was great about this show and are taking it to the next level. With the addition of Graham, hopefully there will also be a lot more love shown to curvier models and designers who create for a variety of sizes.
“The approach I wanted to have as a host and judge to the girls is what my career stands for at this moment in time,” Ora told USA Today. “Which is being a businesswoman and being able to do multiple things at the same time — whether it’s music or shooting [magazine covers] and being in movies and designing clothes.”
The twenty-third cycle of America’s Next Top Model will air starting on December 12 at 10pm.
