Whether Bruce Springsteen is talking about politics or breaking records, the legendary rocker has not been shy about being in the news. The New Jersey native visited The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Friday night where he was put on the spot by comedian Stephen Colbert about what his favorite songs are. With more than 300 tunes in his repertoire, it’s no wonder Springsteen said, “that’s tough.”

“I’ll have to put Born to Run on there,” Springsteen said. “I guess for me The Rising was a big song. Oh what do we play every night? We play Thunder Road regularly. Nebraska was a good one.”

For the selection of the final song, he became a little stressed out so he looked over at the audience for suggestions. As each one yelled out names of popular Springsteen songs, Springsteen seemed indecisive. Colbert assured him that it’s just his choice to make.

First, he said Jungleland before changing his mind to Racing in the Street as the audience cheered him on. Colbert then teases him that these five songs are probably every Springsteen fan’s favorite songs as well.
