Victoria Justice has become quite close to her Rocky Horror Picture Show co-star Laverne Cox. The duo attended Variety’s Power of Women luncheon on Friday to honor women in the industry for their philanthropic efforts. Cox, who was honored for her work with the National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs, selected Justice to present her with the accolade.
Variety Latino spoke to the former Victorious star on the red carpet about the long-awaited remake of the Rocky Horror Picture Show as well as what it was like working with Cox.
“I play Janet Weiss who is newly engaged to Brad Majors, Justice told Variety Latino. “She’s so excited to start her white picket fence life with him and then their car breaks down in the middle of the night in a rainstorm. They see this castle and they think, ‘ok if we stop at this castle we can get to a phone and then we can head on out of here.’ And that is not what happens! It turns into the wildest, craziest night of their lives. It’s completely not what they expected.”
