Eminem has a new “victim” and her name is Iggy Azalea.
While we know Slim Shady is no stranger to controversy and foul lyrics, his most recent song “Vegas,” which was leaked this week, takes aim at none other than I-G-G-Y.
The explicit and misogynistic rap pokes fun at the Australian rapper with these lyrics:
“If I let you run alongside the Humvee. Unless you’re Nicki, grab you by the wrist, let’s ski. So what’s it gon’ be? Put that s*** away Iggy. You don’t wanna blow that rape whistle on me. Scream! I love it.”
The one-minute snippet was just enough to cause controversy over Eminem implying that he would rape Iggy, something that should not be taken lightly.
The lyric obviously did not sit well with the outspoken singer who took to twitter to take a stand on the offensive rape joke that was made towards her.
Calling Eminem an “old man threatening young women for entertainment” she quickly expressed her thoughts about “Vegas.”
Iggy isn’t the only female star that Eminem has gone after recently. Lana Del Rey fell victim to Em’s raps in “Shady Cxvpher” where we hear him threatening to punch the “Summertime Sadness” singer in the face “like Ray Rice in broad daylight.”
These targets towards female artists are nothing new for the 42 year-old rapper who has a slew of songs involving famous names like Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey and Kim Kardashian.
But does this make it ok?
The rapper is currently celebrating the 15th anniversary of his label Shady Records with the release of a new compilation album titled, “ShadyXV” where these two songs are currently featured.
What are your thoughts about the racy lyrics in Eminem’s songs?
