William Levy joins the cast of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and starred by Milla Jovovich. The 35 year-old confirmed the news by re-posting a picture of himself next to actress Ali Larter who welcomed him on the set. “Excited to be here with you all,” expressed the Cuban actor.
Levy expressed how thankful he was for this incredible opportunity and how excited he was to prove that Latinos can succeed against all odds in Hollywood. “I feel very fortunate for all the love not only from the Latino community but from everyone around the world. It’s great that in these difficult moments for Hispanics in the U.S. we can prove how united we are. This will only help us open doors and continue to move forward,” stated the actor.
The last installment in the Resident Evil franchise is set to hit theaters in January 2017. The film will pick up immediately after the events in Resident Evil: Retribution when humanity is on its last legs after Alice is betrayed by Wesker in Washington D.C. Other members of the cast include Ruby Rose, Shawn Roberts and Japanese model Rola.
The former Dancing With the Stars alum can next be seen in The Veil opposite Serinda Swan, William Moseley and Nick Tarabay. The film directed by Brent Ryan Green tells the story of a deadly warrior leading a destructive war campaign.
