friends reunion
NBC

NBC released a 90 second clip featuring the cast of “Friends” on Tuesday. The highly anticipated reunion was part of a tribute for showrunner James Burrows, who has penned over 1,000 TV episodes in his career. Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer and Lisa Kudrow were all present at the taping.

In the clip, the cast shares stories about their auditioning process. To everyone’s surprise, Kudrow was the only main cast member who had to audition twice.

“I had to come in and audition for Jimmy,” which left cast members confused, since they didn’t have to go through the same process. But, Lisa wasn’t bothered by it at all and thanked Burrows for eventually casting her.

The two hour documentary will also bring together the casts of other sitcoms penned by Burrows, including Cheers (Ted Danson, Shelley Long, Bebe Neuwirth, Rhea Perlman, John Ratzenberger and George Wendt), Frasier (Peri Gilpin, Jane Leeves and David Hyde Pierce), Will & Grace (Sean Hayes, Eric McCormack, Debra Messing and Megan Mullally), Taxi (Tony Danza, Danny DeVito, Marilu Henner, Judd Hirsch, Carol Kane and Christopher Lloyd) and The Big Bang Theory (Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg and Jim Parsons).

Must See TV: A Tribute to James Burrows, airs at 9 PM Sunday, February 21 on NBC.
