Magician David Blaine blew everyone’s mind on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Friday night. The 43-year-old didn’t even have to do much except play a few card tricks and swallow a frog! For the segment, host Jimmy Fallon was joined by The Roots, all were equally afraid of what was going to happen next. Blaine, who is half Puerto Rican and half Italian, was in the house promoting his new special David Blaine: Beyond Magic airing Tuesday at 8pm on ABC.
After the card tricks were over in the clip, Fallon asks Blaine what the craziest thing is he’ll be doing in the show. Blaine responds, “There’s a couple of crazy things. There is one which is called ‘the human aquarium.’ It’s one of my favorite things. The concept is, 100 years ago, there was this guy who converted his stomach to an aquarium where he could store live creatures and then he could bring them up at will.” Fallon, who looks nervous says, “I never heard that story.” Blaine replies while bringing up a large glass container, “If it was possible…”
After drinking a giant glass of water, he proceeds to spit out a small frog that came from his stomach aquarium. The frog was alive and moving before he drank it back down. Watch the clip in full below:
