A new trailer for the Robert Schwartzman directed dramedy Dreamland was released on Thursday. The feature film tells the story of Monty Fagan (Johnny Simmons), a twenty-something piano player who falls in love with an older married woman named Olivia (Amy Landecker) while working at a hotel lounge. As he tries to raise the money to afford to open the piano bar of his dreams, Olivia starts giving him the money he needs. Monty starts to feel like a kept man and is trapped in a torrid affair he has confused as love.

“Sometimes you just have to take a step back and really contemplate what it is that you’re doing,” Monty says in a voiceover during the trailer. A man tells him, “It’s all about choices dude. What notes you play, how you play it, when you play it.”

Will Monty keep putting up with being in this crazy love triangle with Olivia and reap the benefits of her wealth? Or will he dump her and continue to try making it on his own? Neither choice will be easy for him but he will have to make a decision.
