Tom Hanks is going to host Saturday Night Live on October 22 and to celebrate, he teamed up with comedian Leslie Jones to record some hilarious promos. The Sully and Bridge of Spies star will be clocking in for as a ninth time host of the sketch comedy show during this appearance and we certainly hope it won’t be his last. Especially if this pairing of Hanks and Jones is any indication of the hilarity we can expect.
Jones asks Hanks in the promo, “Tom, what’s it like in outer space?” He responds, “I don’t know, I was just acting.” She raises her voice next to say, “You need to tell me what outer space is like!” Hanks gets frustrated but replies, “Cold!” Jones ends the bit by saying, “I knew it.”
Other promos included in the video show Jones questioning the Academy Award-winning actor about his love life. Nope, Jones has no shame and she gives zero apologies for it. Further proof of this is when the duo is sipping mimosas on the rooftop garden and they have to run for it after security spots them. This happened only moments after Jones told Hanks they were alright because “she has the hookup.” Suffice it to say the pair had to run and run fast while Jones yelled, “Run Forrest, Run!”
