El gran ganador de la noche fue The Weeknd, con ocho galardones, seguido por Adele, quien recibió cinco estatuillas. Luego de su espectacular actuación de apertura, Britney Spears fue reconocida con el Millennium Award. La trayectoria de Céline Dion fue premiada con el Icon Award, mientras que Rihanna se llevó a casa el Billboard Chart Achievement Award.
